Women Heart Health Event @ Stanford - Go RED

Heart disease is the number one killer of women, taking the lives of over half a million women every year. The Stanford Go Red campaign's mission is to educate and create awareness around women and heart disease.

Join us on February 2, at the Clark Center Auditorium.


  • 5:30 PM Health information tables will be exhibiting in the lobby
  • 6:00 PM Lectures begin

Lecture topics will include the latest in nutrition, advanced cardiac imaging and prevention.

Hurricane Katrina Information

Volunteers planning to travel to the affected Gulf Coast states of Louisianna, Mississippi, and Alabama should review the worker safety recommendations issued by the CDC.

The only vaccinations recommended are tetanus and diphtheria toxoid (receipt of primary series, and Td booster within 10 years) and hepatitis B series if you are planning to provide patient care.

Donations
Organizations accepting donations and/or volunteer work are summarized on the FEMA web site.

Local community organizations active in the efforts include the Palo Alto Chapter of the American Red Cross and Stanford University.
