SMG 11.6.09 Influenza Vaccine Update

Stanford Medical Group has not received any H1N1 vaccine as of 11/6/09 and are recommending our high risk patients consider alternative locations to obtain the vaccine.

Current High Risk Patient Definitions

• Pregnant Women


• Children and young adults between the ages of 6 months and 24 years


• People who live with or provide care for infants under six months


• Adults between the ages of 25 and 64 years who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk for flu-related complication

• Healthcare and emergency medical services workers

Santa Clara County Residents can obtain information about obtaining the H1N1 vaccine here .

Residents of outlying counties should contact their county health department.
