Service Workers 24 Hour Strike Set Monday, 12/12/05

Stanford University and Stanford Hospital have been notified that the union representing service workers has planned a 24 hour strike starting at 5 am 12/12/05, Monday.

For patients of Stanford Medical Group, the only inconvenience will that the blood drawing stations on the first floor of the Blake Wilbur Clinic building and the station on the third floor of the Hoover Pavilion will be closed on Monday, December 12, 2005. Both blood drawing stations will resume normal operations on Tuesday, December 13, 2005.

If you require a blood draw on Monday, December 12, 2005 please proceed to the main hospital lab which wil be open 24/7. The lab is located on the first floor, number 12, on the map.

We do not anticipate any other effects of this strike on the care which we deliver at Stanford Medical Group. Please email your physician if you have any further questions.
