Volunteers planning to travel to the affected Gulf Coast states of Louisianna, Mississippi, and Alabama should review the worker safety recommendations issued by the CDC.

The only vaccinations recommended are tetanus and diphtheria toxoid (receipt of primary series, and Td booster within 10 years) and hepatitis B series if you are planning to provide patient care.
